We were all devastated this year when news broke that Jeremy Clarkson would not be back on BBC’s Top Gear after punching one of the show’s producers.
It was expected that James May and Richard Hammond would not return to Top Gear without there big brother, Jeremy. That was all confirmed.
But today it was announced the threesome will return on Amazon, turning down offers from ITV and Netflix.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are reuniting to create an all-new car show, exclusively for Amazon Prime. The show will be produced by the trio’s long time executive producer Andy Wilman. The first show will go into production shortly and arrive exclusively on Amazon Prime in 2016.Amazon.
The BBC’s Top Gear will continue with The One Show’s Chris Evans at the helm next year. It is also rumoured F1 driver Jenson Button will be joining him. Hmmm that does seem interesting if it can be pulled off.
I would love to watch both Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson’s new show together, both offering very different styles of viewing, but this healthy completion will surely be beneficial to us viewers?
I’m just not sure how long I will be able to put up with the annoying Chris Evans, to be honest.
